The wonderful colors and shapes in this painting are what immediately attracted me to it. These are (I believe) Ecuadoran women at market wrapped in their colorful blankets. The anonymous women appear to have fruits and vegetables spread out before them, a clay pot, and you can see the skirts of other women in the background but, clearly, the beautiful blankets are the subject of this painting.
