Offered here is a fine, hand colored litho by Benson Bond Moore of the tiny Heron, the Least Bittern. The Least Bittern is a migratory marsh bird found throughout North America, and from southern Canada to northern Argentina. It is protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. Benson Bond Moore was born in Washington, DC in 1882 and died in Sarasota, Florida in 1974.
