Offered here is a stunning 1630 map of the historic region of Pomerania on the shores of the Baltic Sea based on the surveys of Eilhard Lubbin. This region had been variously annexed by Sweden and Prussia over the years and is now primarily in Poland with a portion controlled by Germany. Finely engraved, good color (hand colored) and beautifully framed under glass. The back is open to text. A crease down the center. Fine condition. In the frame the map measures 28" by 24".
