$59.00

A pair of bookends depicting a wise looking owl perched atop an open book. These are in the Art Deco style and are bronzed. They have substantial heft and should hold a stack of books quite well. They are marked TYLER. Green felt applied to the back and the bottom will keep the tabletop and your fine books free of scratches. They are in very nice condition overall, with some slight oxidation and wear, but nothing unexpected. They measure 5.25" tall.

$42.00

Here we have a adorably small brass bucket with a wrought iron handle. I looks just like it's much larger cousins, but it measures only 3.75" high and 5.25" in diameter. It is hard to say with any authority how old it is, but it has nice patina, and I would guess that it might be early 20th century. It is in excellent condition.

SOLD

Offered here is a very pretty papier mache' tray in cobalt and black with gilt edges on a conforming faux bamboo stand. It measures 18" by 13.5" by 21" approximately. The tray is Chippendale form with a wide cobalt blue border and a black center. The gilded decoration is somewhat faded now, but is foliage and vines that drape down into both colors towards the center. It is a wonderfully unusual color combination, and is apparently original. The stand, of course, is 20th c ...click for details

$250.00

Offered here is an interesting box made of tortoise shell applied to bamboo and having a horn lid and bottom. The finial on the top is probably bone. It opens where the seam is around the middle. It measures 4.75" high and is 3" in diameter (not including the finial). The box is in good condition but not perfect. There is a little separation at the bottom where the horn meets the shell. In addition, there are two chips in the shell on the rim at the opening. None of it is bad, i ...click for details

Here we have a wonderful, folky, small weathervane that probably dates to about 1930 or so. It has great chippy paint, which is early but not original, since there is evidence of other layers beneath it. It measures 13" high and is 14" at it's widest point.

These wonderful little French cachepots have among their many attributes the fabulous colors of yellow and puce. Each little pot has a different scene painted in this wonderful color on the front and the back, and each pot has slightly different scenes than the other. We have little fat cherubs on one side and a serene little landscape on the other. Under each painting is a swag of tiny unglazed white porcelain flowers and leaves, hand formed mind you, not molded, and they are kind of caught ...click for details

$150.00

Offered here is a gloriously faded silver gilt pedestal or plant stand. The color and form is what caught my attention. Silver gilt on old wood seems to fade to sort of an ice blue which is just beautiful to me, and looks so wonderful with the pale interiors you see in a lot of homes today. The pedestal is sturdy and it won't tip your sculpture off. It measures 36" high, is 8" square at the top and 9" square at the bottom.
