This little table was a fabulous vintage "find". It serves well as a coffee table in a small space, or a side table absolutely anywhere. The tray lifts off for serving, in fact has little ball feet on the bottom so it can be used on a table by itself. The surface is beveled glass, which lifts out for easy cleaning. Offered here is a wonderful smallish mirror, perfect for a nook or a powder room. Elaborate details including roses, foliage and scrolls are arranged asymmetrically in an oval. The frame is formed in plaster. There are a few nicks that have been artfully disguised and are extremely difficult to find. Approximately 23" by 16". Probably dates to the early 20th century.

Offered here is one of the best lamps I've had...a cold painted metal lamp of an African American male figure, on one knee, holding a wreath above his head. The wreath is green with some kind of red fruit in it and a red ribbon at the back. The figure is kneeling on a mound, a tiny landscape with flowers and foliage in relief. Fabulous early-ish 20th century armchair, probably Italian in origin, but I can't be sure. The color of the chair is what hooked me, that and the wonderful painted Adamesque decoration. The chair is lime green and has a yellow seat. The urn form splat is painted much like an urn might be, with medallions, swags, etc., and a head and a lion. Offered here are two doors carved by the Dogon from the region of Mali in Africa. 20th century. The Dogon are noted for their carvings and their architecture. The doors are completely carved from top to bottom in various motifs of animals, figures and geometrical forms. They are dazzling. These are similar but not exactly alike. Offered here is a large bronze frame dating to the early part of the 20th century...probably 30's or 40's I would say. It is lovely with a special photograph in it, but would also be spectacular containing a mirror. It's heavy, as you would expect, and in excellent condition. There are no flaws that I can see, and all the little swivel tabs that hold the picture in are there, and the prop in the back is there and works perfectly. Fabulous oak bentwood chair made from snow shoes. The chair is light but very sturdy and, believe it or not, very comfortable. This was purchased by the individual that I bought it from in the 70's. You know, I don't really know what the stringing is made of but it reminds me of what used to be in tennis racquets...some kind of gut? Obviously very strong stuff. This is a completely wonderful small mirror to either hang on the wall or place in an easel on the table. The gilding has worn like we all pray it will, with the red bole showing through, and a little oxidation, a few little cracks, and the most beautiful, mellow color ever. The overall size is 10.75" by 8.25" and the sight size is 8" by 5.5". I believe the frame is 1940-60's. The mirror is new.

Offered here is a gorgeous pair of heavy glass bookends with rose colored ribbons wrapping large, clear bubbles seated in a cobalt base. They are quite substantial, flat on the back as well as the bottom, and will hold up pretty much any amount or size of books most elegantly. The bookends are about 4" high and 3.5" in diameter roughly, and have no flaws.

Offered here is a wonderful wall sconce, hand carved and gilded wood having two arms with candle cups. There is a large shell motif in the center surrounded by foliage and flowers at the top. The metal arms have vines and leaves on them. 19.5". A lovely item from Italy, 20th century.
