This is a well made, small copper planter or cachepot that was made by hand in Denmark in the 20th century. It has a very nice patina, and a wonderful form and a great little size. It is very sturdy, not thin and flimsy, and it sits up on applied feet and has handles. It is 7" by 3" and is 2.5" deep. Raised on the feet it is 3.5". It is marked HAANDARB DANMARK.
This is a really interesting piece that was salvaged from an old building. Apparently this was part of the soffit, or hung from the soffit...I still can't quite picture how it did, or how it looked...but upside down from the way it is now used as a picture frame. Nevertheless, it makes a great looking frame, which now holds an old print just to show what it is and how it works.
