Offered here is a fine, circa 1900 Japanese bronze bull that is beautifully cast and with a fine head. The sculpture measures about 17.5" nose to tail and almost 12" to the top of the horns. It is signed on the bottom. The stand is carved wood and measures 19.5" by 8.5" by 1.5" high.
Offered here is a Chinese ivory mask of a figure in a headdress. The mask is curved and fits into a a stand. It is signed on the back. The mask measures just over 3" by 2" across. On the stand the total height is just under 4". It is in lovely condition with nice graining and no flaws that I can see.
Offered here is a fine matched pair of 8.5" famille rose vases. They are hand enameled in the typical colors and have alternating panels of figural groups and flower panels with birds and insects. The vases are 8.5" tall and are in very fine condition. Circa 1900.
Offered here is a gorgeous circa 1900 Japanese imari plate or low bowl. I have 5 other identical plates available. Alternating panels depict cranes in a landscape. There is a lot of gilt enameled work on these plates, either as background or in the various motifs. This plate is 8.5" in diameter, as are the others. They are all in excellent condition.
Here we have a matching pair of small soapstone vases, each very finely carved. The color is a striking combination of cream to light tan and charcoal. It makes a lovely contrast. The carved decoration is of chrysanthemums and foliage which wrap around the front of the vases. The vases are on soapstone bases and they were carved as one. They are 5" tall. Early 20th century.
