Fabulous oak bentwood chair made from snow shoes. The chair is light but very sturdy and, believe it or not, very comfortable. This was purchased by the individual that I bought it from in the 70's. You know, I don't really know what the stringing is made of but it reminds me of what used to be in tennis racquets...some kind of gut? Obviously very strong stuff. This is a completely wonderful small mirror to either hang on the wall or place in an easel on the table. The gilding has worn like we all pray it will, with the red bole showing through, and a little oxidation, a few little cracks, and the most beautiful, mellow color ever. The overall size is 10.75" by 8.25" and the sight size is 8" by 5.5". I believe the frame is 1940-60's. The mirror is new.

Offered here is a gorgeous pair of heavy glass bookends with rose colored ribbons wrapping large, clear bubbles seated in a cobalt base. They are quite substantial, flat on the back as well as the bottom, and will hold up pretty much any amount or size of books most elegantly. The bookends are about 4" high and 3.5" in diameter roughly, and have no flaws.

Offered here is a delightful painting of a landscape with a stream or small river running through a forest. The painting has the lovely flat planes and vaguely Asian feel to it that you see in some of the paintings of the Arts & Crafts Movement. This is a misty scene that gives the painting a feeling of tranquility. It is signed Walter Neis 9/29. I have never found out who he might have been, The painting measures approximately 16.5" by 12.5", not including the frame.

Offered here is a wonderful wall sconce, hand carved and gilded wood having two arms with candle cups. There is a large shell motif in the center surrounded by foliage and flowers at the top. The metal arms have vines and leaves on them. 19.5". A lovely item from Italy, 20th century.

A ready to frame set of four hand colored bird copper plate engravings on laid paper, N.d. Vogel. They have good color and only light toning on the very edges. One engraving has a spot inside the image (the last image). The paper measures approximately 7.25" by 4.75". Probably date to mid 18th century.

Offered here is a vintage silver tray (not sterling)with a pierced edge ebonized wood handles and ball feet. The wood cutting board has a well and other grooves for draining juices. A very nice looking item to go from grill or over to the table for serving. 16.5" by 10.5", not including the handles.

Offered here is a wonderful, heavy pressed glass vase in a cut glass pattern of fans and foliage to hold the most abundant arrangement of flowers. It would also hold a nice fat candle as a hurricane lamp. The vase is 9" tall and the opening is 6.5" in diameter. Mint condition.
