SOLD

Offered here is a fine pair of 19th century opaline vases with gilt enamel decoration in a foliage and bee motif. The vases are seated on a marble base with gilt metal ram head mounts. The enameling has some wear where they were handled over the years, but it isn't much, and is not objectionable. The "back" side of the vases had the same motif at one time but it is absent except for the faintest outline, and doesn't even show in the picture. The marble bases have wear aroun ...click for details

This is a perfectly lovely set of glasses, each one a different color from hot pink to pale gold. They are not quite irridescent, but there is a hint of it. There is a short stem and a round foot. They would work very well as champagne flutes because of the shape. They are 5" tall and are perfect.

These are beautiful pieces. Each is, I assume, hand blown glass, with the lovely imperfections one looks for in such items. There are small bubbles in the glass, some rippling at the neck and a polished pontil on the top. Each one is the same size...sort of. The glass is the same size but the old dark brass fittings are different sizes which makes one 7" high and the other one 8" high. These would have been used at the bottom of the stairs on the bannister rail, or newel post. they ...click for details

I know this looks like TWO decanters and TEN glasses but it isn't. Indeed I wish I had two of each, but it is merely a reflection. This beautiful set comes from the personal collection of a customer, who purchased it from Peter Patout in New Orleans some years back. It is in excellent condition, having no damage to any of the five stems or the decanter. The decanter is 9.5", the stems 4.5". They are clear ruby glass , not flashed, and date to around 1840.

There are six of these beautiful and delicate wine glasses. The bowls and foot are of the palest green, the stem is clear. There is applied decoration on the outside of the bowl in clear glass. All is spun with gold with heavier concentrations in some areas than in others. The effect in candlelight is very romantic! The goblets stand approximately 6.5" high and are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. Circa 1920.

This is just the lovliest pair of decanters I've seen in awhile. They were described as Bristol when I acquired them, but they are heavier and finer than Bristol that I am familiar with, but I believe they are English anyway. The bottles and stoppers of each decanter are exceptionally well painted by hand with realistic flowers and Putti and black geometric banding. They are in excellent condition, unsigned, and are nearly 17" high. They date to the late 19th century. (Please be sur ...click for details
