This plate is one of 4 identical majolica plates from Germany around 1900-1920. The pattern of the plate is green leaves in varigated colors and fern fronds, interspersed with small blossoms. This is against a pale aqua ground with a chocolate border, and an impressed border design like overlapping circles. The colors are cool and delicious and the majolica glaze is deep and glossy. These plates are seriously gorgeous. 8" in diameter, all in very fine condition with this caveat: stilt ...click for details
