| Very attractive small framed litho of three Confederate flags against a background of civil war objects including a canon, cannon balls, drums and muskets. The picture is, I believe, a cabinet card, and was produced by the Richmond Photograph Company. The retailer apparently framed it and sold it. The retailer was J&W.J.Entwwisle, Booksellers at 110 King St., Alexandria, Va.. The back piece of the frame has what looks like the retailers name and address stamped on it also, but it is faded and difficult to read, Alexandria being the only word I'm able to make out. Framed it is 11 1/2" by 9 1/2". The colors of blue and red are are quite beautiful and deep and the stars are picked out in silver. It makes a very attractive presentation even with the stained matting. The glass is removed for my pictures but it is old glass also. | ||
