| Offered here is a large, beautiful brooch of silver and a green stone that may be malachite. It can be worn as a pin or a pendant. It is marked "made in Israel" and has the numbers 935 on the back, along with 2 letters, one of which is Y. I do not know whether or not the numbers on the pin reference the content of pure silver the way ours does when you see the mark 925. If it does, it has a little higher content than US sterling, and it does polish the way sterling does, but that is all I can say. However, I have priced it as though it is not sterling. The brooch measures over 2.5" at the widest part, is well made, and in excellent condition. Late 20th century. (My monitor shows it with a golden hue that it does not have. It is silver "in person".) | ||
