A FINELY ENAMELLED JAPANESE CLOISONNE OVAL BOX WITH A DOMED LID.
It dates to about 1900, late in the MEIJI period when cloisonne skills in Japan reached their zenith. A time now renowned as the 'GOLDEN AGE'.
