On the base can be seen marks for the Bishop & Stonier pottery which was based in the town of Hanley, Staffordshire, England.

This is a huge old Victorian or Edwardian blue and white cup and saucer.

It would accomodate a lot of tea as the cup is 3.5 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. The equally large saucer stands at 1.5 inches and has a diameter of 8.5 inches.
