They date to the late Meiji or early Taisho period, circa 1890 - 1920.

This small, 12.5cm, Japanese Kyoto School, Satsuma vase has two finely decorated panels, one containing figures, the other with bamboo and flowers.

The panels are contained within a gilded cobalt blue ground.
