THIS SIGNED JAPANESE BRONZE OKIMONO FROM THE MEIJI PERIOD (1868 - 1912) WOULD HAVE BEEN CAST CIRCA 1900.
A good quality, nicely detailed sculpture that depicts a mushroom gatherer. He carries a basket of fungi on his back and his pipe and tobacco pouch hangs from his belt.
