This wonderful pottery with polychrome decorations dates from the Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), one of China’s golden ages. It is a Hu type vessel traditionally used as water or wine container. The jar is in rather good shape. It bears a few scratches and a minute hole on the side (see picture 3). At the foot, the rim shows a couple of cracks and some fine hairlines running to the base (more pictures available on demand). Please inquire if you have some questions. Dimensions: 31 x 21 x 29 cm (12.2 x 8.2 x 11.8 in)
