| Great old French baskets found while shopping the markets in France. The large round one, the first of it's kind that I've found, measures approx 29" across and is almost 20" from bottom to top of handle. There is also a standing basket used to sell baquettes. Another basket has a lid which closes and a wooden rod weaves through to keep it closed. There is one more which is very interesting and I'm not sure what it's purpose was. the lid opens to expose a padded area and then the base is compartmentalized or sectioned off with metal. It has metal straps to buckle to keep it closed. | ||
