| Beautiful European Shelf with Delft tile, hooks and a wooden dowel (not shown) that crosses over the front. Used to hand dish cloths or towels on the hooks and cover the soiled cloths by hanging a curtain or decorative towel over the towel bar or dowel. Beautiful contract of what I guess might be stripped yellow pine with the blue delft. The tile also includes the German words to separate the types of cloths or towels that are to be hung on each hook: HANDTUCH, TELLERTUCH, GLASERTUCH, MESSERTUCH, WISCHTUCH. Measures approx 23" long and 8" high at the highest point. It's difficult to tell, but there might be a mixture of old and new wood. There also is tape on the back with unknown purpose, possibly to add reinforcement for the tile. | ||
