| This French dish has the large hotel de ville from the French village or city of Orleans. At each corner of the dish is a large fleur de lys, or fleur de lis. There are two little rounded sections which give the appearance that it possibly was a petite ashtray. It is the perfect size and shape, and is currently used to hold business cards for a French antiques dealer, yours truly. Could also serve to hold rings, pocket change, as a soap dish, wall decor, etc. Mark in shown on reverse, Enlargement 2. Photo of reverse also shows chip in upper right corner. Estimated age, pre 1960 | ||
