An 11-7/8 x 10-1/4" art reference book by Paul Duval entitled GROUP OF SEVEN DRAWINGS, published by Burns and MacEachern, Toronto in 1965. This first edition has black and white illustrations with capsule biographies towards the back. It has the original dust cover, and this book is in excellent conditon with the dust cover taped under plastic. There are some spine rubs to the dust cover, some stains from the tape on the inside covers, and some pencil written dates of death on the biographies (easily erased). Otherwise, this book is in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs except as noted. Published by the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa in 1975, this book features six tipped-in colour prints and copious black and white photos and text throughout. The book itself is in MINT original condition and the included dust jacket is excellent, with some minor edge bruising and creasing. A signed copy of The Brockbank Omnibus by Russell Brockbank. This 120 page 10 x 7-5/8" book features a collection of black and white cartoons and it is published by Perpetua, London, England 1957 and printed by Unwin. It is signed in ink on the interior leaf, and this book is in excellent condition with no folds, tears, foxing, staining, losses, damage or repairs other than some very slight rubs to the bottom edge of the hardback cover, a shallow scrape near the front bottom, and some shallow bending from handling on the bottom edges of many of the pages. A scarce 10-1/4" Royal Doulton seriesware plate in the Don Quixote series, produced from 1906-28. This example is entitled "The Blanket Tossing" and it has a D2692 pattern number. It features handpainting over transfer, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs. A branded c1900 gold filled pocket watch. This 2" across stem-wind pocket watch has a porcelain dial with a single sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is printed with C.M. VON VALKENBURG PETROLIA (Ontario, Canada) on the face, and the 1-5/8" across works has nice damaskeening. The works are marked ADJUSTED 2 POSITIONS 17 JEWELS 3876866. We haven't identified the works however the regulator resembles that of Howard or Ball watches. The case is stamped BANNER GOLD FILLED 168653 and it has numerous servicing inscriptions. It has a JES script monogram, and this watch is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to the gold plating and a small chip to the face at 23 minutes on the dial (covered by the bezel). The mainspring will not hold tension however everything else appears to be working, clean and intact and the time can be easily set. This watch is being sold as described without warranty; we recommend all timepieces be professionally cleaned, repaired and adjusted. A true cameo rarity. This is a vintage 19th century hand-carved pink coral unset cameo of a high relief dog. Superbly detailed, and more a sculpture than a simple cameo, this 1 x 3/4" piece of art is unsigned, and it has a slight pinkish hue. It is 5/16" at its thickest, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight stress crack above the dog's head which doesn't disturb the surface of the coral. A cool set of three handmade duck scatter pins in gilt sterling silver c1940s. These pins have safety catches and they measure from 1-1/2" across to 1-1/4 x 1-1/8" across. They are stamped HANDMAID STERLING on the backs and they weigh a total of 11.8 grams. This set is in very good condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of most of the original gilding, traces of which remain on the fronts of the pins. It has a compartment on the back for containing hair, and it weighs 3.2 grams.
