$125

A great example of late Victorian Art Nouveau tableware. This is a fine satin-finish green gradient-style serving or candy dish on its original Art Nouveau silverplated stand. The 5" across dish stands 3" high, it has a nice medium green colour and satin finished panels flanked by gloss-finished ribs. The 5-1/2" English-made stand (marked EPNS) stands on bun feet, has has screw and bolt mounts and high relief flowers and leaves on the base; the handles are in the form of sinuous tendrils, a favourite Art Nouveau motif. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor surface scratches on the frosted surface from contact with the stand (minor). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $12 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

$225 pair

A scarce matching pair of Bristol glass finger bowls c1840-50. These 3-1/8" high and 4-1/2" diameter bowls have the lovely emerald green or teal colour so sought after by vintage glass collectors. They show the expected wear on the bottom and the colours are much deeper and vibrant than in our pictures. A scarce addition to any collection. This early Victorian pair is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage except for a tiny abrasion on the outside of one bowl (seen in the fourth picture, shown at slightly more than twice its actual size). Surface shipping is $10 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
