An unusual and rare 14k yellow gold ring of a seed pearls and diamond sunburst or starburst ring c1900-10. The sunburst has 10 petals with genuine seed pearls and it has a central claw-set 8 point (measured by flat stone gauge) genuine antique European cut diamond; the shank is stamped 14K with a JIC maker's mark. I have never seen a pearl sunburst ring before in 32 years in antiques, but they most likely were made to go with the pearl lavalieres popular at the time. It is possible that this piece was produced slightly later date, but the ring shank is an appropriate one for the period, and the setting is properly mounted and appears original. This ring weighs 6.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses or damage other than some glue residue on a couple of reset pearls (an old repair, and is restorable). It has a somewhat obscured maker's mark, and each separate section has hallmarks (loop, front and back panels). This fob has a nice embossed design and a fancy suspension ring; it has a WRA inset initial plaque. It weighs 3 grams.
