An attractive, high quality Art Deco period set of six 3-3/8" diameter blown glass 3" tall fine glass teacups with the original brass handled holders, signed by the German manufacturer Carl Deffner. The Carl Deffner metal works stated in Esslingen, Germany in 1815, and sons and grandsons continued in the firm, producing high quality and beautifully designed metal items until the factory was sold in 1969. All of the Deffners had extensive training in design and metalwork manufacture, and they produced really fine examples of Art Nouveau and Art Deco design. This set is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All
items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
