An attractive pair of late Arts & Crafts hammered pewter candlesticks. These 7-3/8" sticks feature a hammered finish and they are stamped MANOR PERIOD SHEFFIELD PEWTER 2065 CONNELL 83 CHEAPSIDE LONDON. The English company Travis Wilson & Co. took the name Manor Period Pewter in 1926, and one stick has an inscription saying TO R.G. SHAPLEY FROM THE COMMITTEE AND MEMBERS OF THE SECONSIDS. APRIL 25th 1936. This pair is in very good condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor spotting on the patina and some minor bending to the rims (they don't appear completely flat). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. An 8-1/2" tall hammered pewter coffee pot c1920s, made by Roundhead. Roundhead Pewter was made by Samuel Groves Ltd. of Birmingham England (active 1922~1940s/50s), and this Art & Crafts pitcher has a two-colour bamboo/rattan handle. This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
