A bright and cheerful fully hand stitched Star of Bethlehem 92-1/2" x 84" cotton quilt c1940s-50. In excellent original condition, it has fine lightweight attractively stitched white cotton around the star (one corner of the white cotton is a slightly darker colour of cloth, a bit ecru) and a finely patterned blue chintz pattern cotton backing. Some of the fabric was purchased new in 1940s, but it also contains pieces of older fabric from the 1930s. This item is in excellent original condition with no tears, holes, stains, fading, losses, damage or repairs. Clean and odor free, and it was carefully stored. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
