A splendid, long country Quebec rag rug cotton runner rug c1920s-30s. These rugs are made from narrow, coloured cloth strips. Found stored for decades in an attic trunk and smell/smoke free, this runner measures just under 8 feet long and is 20-1/2" wide (sans fringe); the colours are vibrant and unfaded and this rug, as far as we know, was put in the trunk and never used. It has some minor breaks/pulls on the last few strips on the end, which appear to be unfinished - they have not been knotted or stitch finished at the end. Perfect for your country or folk decor. This item is in excellent original condition with no losses, tears, fading, staining, damage or repairs other than stated above, and appears not to have been used on a floor (possibly because it was originally intended to be longer?). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
