A scarce vintage 8" x 8" printed cotton handkerchief with images by Mabel Lucie Atwell c1910-20. This hanky has whimsically drawn coloured birds, lamb, squirrel, snail, mouse and a child cuddling a lamb, with the legend WEDNESDAY. A vintage 8" x 8" pure silk printed child's handkerchief depicting British Beefeater guards, airplanes, and a boy with a gun. It is unsigned, and the figures include two marching guards, a bugler, drummer, parade leader with sword, a shooting boy in shorts, and two airplanes. A splendid, long country Quebec rag rug cotton runner rug c1920s-30s. These rugs are made from narrow, coloured cloth strips. Found stored for decades in an attic trunk and smell/smoke free, this runner measures just under 8 feet long and is 20-1/2" wide (sans fringe); the colours are vibrant and unfaded and this rug, as far as we know, was put in the trunk and never used.
