| An early English pearl stoneware 7-7/8" plate with purple transfer Chinese-style decoration similar to the Willow pattern. This plate has the early mark of Podmore, Walker & Co. in use from 1834-59, the pattern is called "Tempel", and this plate dates to the c1840-50 era. The colour is striking and it has a pearl-like glaze. This item is in very good original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some crazing, minor staining in a couple of places, a small and very old edge chip. Please note that the stilt marks from the kiln are on the front of this plate - an early method. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted. Surface shipping starts at $10 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. | ||||||||||
