| A very unusual c1880s gilt-brass mounted 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" mosaic pin. This pin has fine multi-colour glass tesserae in the form of flowers, with a centrally set scarab beetle with foil-backed clear red glass in the body. It has the original c-clasp with extended pin and an attached bottom loop. It is unsigned and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of some of the gilding. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $6 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
