| An outstanding Aesthetic style brass-patinated cast iron ink stand c1880s made by Bradley & Hubbard. This American desk accessory features a thick relief gallery and base with brass patination in the Aesthetic style, with a rear pen rest, front pen tray and pivoting liftable inkwell cover. The square inkwell has swirled edges and it measures 2-3/4" across; the stand itself measures 5-1/2" wide and it stands 4" tall. It has the cast B&H MFG. CO. mark from this period, PAT APPL'D FOR and a 7020 pattern number. This set also includes a 7-7/8" *391 wood dip pen with silver and gold coloured fittings made by the American Pencil Co. New York U.S.A.. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs - it retains most of its original patination, with only a touch of wear on the lower pen tray and on the lid of the inkwell. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $13 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
