| An attractive 9" pewter-lidded salt glazed stoneware ewer or pitcher in the Argyle pattern, made by Dudson, England in 1865. This ewer has a nicely molded columnar pattern in white with brown, blue and green grounds. The pewter lid with thumbrest is mounted with rivets, and this piece has the British diamond registration mark for December 3, 1865. This item is in superb original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some loss of patina and a crease at the lip of the lid from a bend being straightened sometime in the past. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $15 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
