A high quality vintage late Victorian sliding or telescoping pencil, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1898-9. This 2-5/8" pencil has a loop for suspending from a chatelaine, necklace or watch chain; it has an L.D.Ld. maker's mark and it weighs 16.4 grams (including the hand-whittled pencil stub). This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
