A vintage block printed fabric apron by the Canadian Inuit artist Agnes Nanogak Goose (1925-2001). This highly regarded Holman artist was famous for her ink drawings and as a print maker, and she also produced block printed textiles including cotton burlap. She was the first Inuit artist to receive and honorary degree from Mt. St. Vincent university. This apron measures 24" x 14-3/4" (not including the 52" tie cord). This apron has been washed once. It is in excellent condition with no stains, tears, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. A vintage North American tribal beadwork knife sheath with colourful applied beadwork on a fringed moose hide c1930s-50s. This 13-1/2" x 7-1/2" (including fringe) knife sheath has a tall loop for hanging off of a belt; the stiff applied lighter colour hide section at the front of the sheath is attached with twisted fine brass wire. It is a densely beaded item, and spells out "Jack" in white beads, and it has iridescent purple/blue, orange, dark and light green beads. It is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage; there is a loose thread and some sewing holes near the top of the loop, possibly from a now-missing small bit of bead ornamentation. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs except for the mentioned thread. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. A bright and cheerful East Coast Micmac 4-7/8" diameter wall hanging c1900-20. This decorative item features a flower basket motif, with yellow, light and deep green, red, orange, brown and black beads on a deerskin backing; the hanging strap is in brown seed-shaped beads with green and yellow beads. It is unsigned, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A red felt Inuit hand made hand puppet c1950s-60s. This 10-1/2" x 8" puppet has a hand stitched leather face with hair, eyes, nose and red stitch mouth, a natural fur hood and mittens, and white applied machine embroidery, the puppet body is machine stitched. There are no identification marks on this puppet, but we were informed that it was purchased originally in Coppermine (now known as Kugluktuk), Nunevut/Northwest Territories, Canada, which is located near the Arctic ocean. This item is in excellent condition with no staining, fading, tears, losses, repairs or damage.
