A quality signed brass-mounted turn of the century boxwood folding ruler. This two foot ruler was made by Rabone of England, it has a model No.1167, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor signs of use (minor finish scrapes and writing marks) and the loss of about half of the brass gilding. This furniture maker's tool measures 18" long, including the 7-1/2" faceted massive wood handle with brass ferrule and N initial. The hexagonal 1/2" wide blade is firmly mounted, and this vintage tool has a wonderful patina.
