A scarce deep navy blue bakelite two piece brass mounted leaf-form belt buckle c1930s. This buckle consists of two 1-7/8 x 1-5/8" deep blue bakelite segments, both deeply carved with a star and wavy border. Each has brass mounts, and this unsigned buckle is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor surface corrosion on the brass tongue on one segment. It is likely that the carving was done later, as was common to these pieces. ...click for details
