|An unusual late 19thC / Victorian period double blue and white china perfume bottle in one of the variations of the Hawthorn (or Hawthorne ) pattern. Almost certainly English, and quite possibly produced by Doulton (later Royal Doulton), although a few English firms produced a version of Hawthorn. This unmarked 2-1/8" wide and 2-7/8" tall bottle features a hawthorn flower and bramble pattern with a deep cobalt blue background. The stark floral pattern almost has Arts and Crafts aspects of design. The conical stoppers fit into cork lined necks, and the bottles were fired together originally, not attached by glue or epoxy. This very unusual and scarce vanity item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some fine overall crazing and wear to the gilding around the stopper edges/rims. An excellent and unusual addition to any perfume bottle collection. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited insured tracked shipping to the U.S. starts at $22 (other spots may vary, air is higher) - tracking and insurance are included in shipping quotes. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept PayPal, only VISA and MASTERCARD.|
