This is a Native American Indian PAPAGO Basket from the Ajo area, Arizona. It measures about 10 3/4" X 10 3/4" X 12 1/2" ( 27.4 cm X 27.4 cm X 31.9 cm ). The Tohono O'odham people were Native American Indians who were located in the Sonoran Desert of Southeastern Arizona and Northwest Mexico. Tohono O'odham means "Desert People".
