| Outstanding sterling silver topped glass jar made by Krementz & Co of Newark NJ at the turn of the last century. The top has an unusual violet and green exotic enamel design. The sterling is so tarnished it looks black but no doubt it will shine up beautifully. The inside of the cover is gold gilt. It is signed on the inside STERLING and the hallmark for Krementz. Excellent original condition with a few problems to the stopper. First of all it DOES NOT come out. It seems solidly stuck there. You can also see a chip in the stopper on the underside. As a display piece this is perfect or maybe you have a secret trick to get the stopper out. The jar measures 2 1/2"H X 1 3/4" in diameter on the top and 1 5/8" in diameter on the bottom. The enamel design and work is similar to the work of some of the best known and most influential designers circa 1900.,p> Buyer pays USPS priority shipping and insurance.
