Museum quality absolutely breathtaking Victorian Roman micromosaic of the Doves Of Pliny. The subject of the Doves of Pliny was used by endless artists but the artist who created this rendition using tiny tesseraes in subtle shades of color created a masterpiece. Minute detail that makes it look like a painting. The mosaic is in excellent condition. It measures 2" in diameter. The mosaic is set in a round box that measures 3 1/8" in diameter X over 3/4"H. The box is made of a natural material which has numerous chips and scratches. The mosaic displays nicely the way it is even though the box is AS IS.
