This is a nice pencil signed limited edition etching by Leonard Robert Brightwell 1889-1983 who is a well listed artist.Plate image size is 10 by 7+ margins and is in a simple black frame 17 by 12 that seems to be the original framing. No matt burns and print is quite clean other than two tiny spots on the lower right.A nice image by a artist who did a lot of bird and animal etchings.

This is a rare large format mezzotint engraving of Major General Winfield Scott. It would have been published in the 1820"s or earlier. Thomas Gimbrede the artist was an engraver at West Point during this time period.The publisher was William S Reddin of New York and the printer was J&G Neale.This is a large 13 1/2 by 10 3/4 image size with wide plate margins and is about 16 by 20 overall. This is a scarce large 42 by 27 1/2 Aquatint Handcolored Engraving that is pencil signed by John Ruthven.It is a limited edition 271/500 print done in 1973. It is in excellent condition and has never been framed.Ruthven has this on his site for $2000.00. It is the companion to the Woodpecker print I also have listed and they came from the estate of a old time Limited edition print dealer.The colors are better than my photo show as it is shrink wrapped.

This is a very rare large format aquatint print of the famous race horse GRAY EAGLE. This is a original very large foldout panorama of London from the south side of the Thames published in the February 9 1861 issue of the Illustrated London News.One of the largest wood engraved plates ever done at this time. It measures a whopping 23 by 58 1/2 inches.
