This is a bronze bust of CAESAR AGUSTUS.It is signed by the maker BENEDETTO BOSCHETTI ROMA. He lived from 1820 to 1860 and is well listed with a large number of bronzes in the art price guides.I could only find one comparable in size of Marc Antony and that one realized $2900.00. He did this bust in at least two sizes.Ours is the smaller version at 11 3/4 inches tall. This is in nice original condition with no dings or scratches.A nice example of a grand tour item!

This is a bronze statue of the Farnese Bull. The original was a 2nd century Bc. bronze that represents the myth of Dirce. A marble copy was done in Rome around 300 Ad. and was discovered in 1545.It was restored and put in the Farnese Palace. Reductions in bronze have been made since the 1600,s but were always pricey. This bronze is 17 1/2 inches tall and 14 and 1/2inches on both sides. This is a 19th century or older copy of this statue.I think this may be an older statue as it has never had a dar ...click for details

This is a nice European bronze statue of a painter from the 16th or 17th century. It is signed in script Johnson.I could not place a certain artist as there are too many with this last name. This shows great quality with a lot of detail such as the fur edge on his coat.A nice dark brown patina in nice condition. He stands a little over 22 inches and weighs about 20 lbs.I would say he is from the 1920's or earlier. From an old Philadelphia area estate.

This is a nice pre 1860 french bronze of a young man harvesting wheat. He most likely was a clock statue. He is in nice original condition and was cast in two sections. There is a small hole at the base of the wheat bundle which may have held another part on the statue but it does not seem like it would have needed anything else in the composition. This is 9 1/2 tall by 10 inches wide.
