This is a rare cast Bronze plaque by the Metallic Compression Casting co. of Boston Ma.This co. was the 1st to make bronze hardware for buildings. Some of their door knobs have sold for over $4000.00.They started in the 1870's. I believe this plaque is from the 1870's or 80's. The quality is fantastic with very crisp detail. I presume this was some form of show piece or a advertising piece. Condition is excellent with a nice deep brown patina.Size is 11 by 8 3/4 inches

This is a original chromolithograph print by the firm of L.Prang of Boston Ma.It was published in 1874. This is one of I believe a series of 4 views of California by J.R.Key commissioned by Prang all of which are very scarce.This is in excellent condition and has its original Prang paper label and frame.We have added a antique gold linen type matt to it which is not shown and some acid free paper backing behind the print.The frame has been repainted at some point in time.Image is 7 by 14 and out ...click for details

This is a very interesting large 28 inches tall with a 8 inch base bronze statue. It weighs about 45 pounds. While of very good quality it is not signed.This unusual motif of a man burning his fingers carrying a brazier which he has dropped on his toes is one that we have never seen before.From the quality and style we believe it to be continental and from 1870 to 1900 in vintage.The brazier pieces and the base are cast separate from the rest of the statue.The patina is a rich chocolate brown an ...click for details
