Grey Eagle Horse Aquatint Print New York 1835

This is a very rare large format aquatint print of the famous race horse GRAY EAGLE. It was published for the New York Spirit of the Times newspaper which only published from 1835 to 1837.His linage can be traced back to the 1760's and Traveler Robert Lee's horse was a decendent.I could find no other copy of this print for sale and only one other print by Currier of this horse for sale any where! This large print measures 13 by 16 in the plate + margins and is in ex. condition. It was published by Jordan & Halpin from a painting by E. Troye. Gray Eagle was bred by Maj. Duncan from Kentucky
