| This is the best 1/4 sawn American oak hall bench that is not of a large overbearing size that we have seen in our 30 years of selling antiques.The carving on this is fabulous and very well done.It has all original finish which is in excellent condition.We believe it to be Horner or Flint quality and probably one of a kind. While it has some what of a European look or style to it We guarantee it to be American made. The finish, the way it is carved and the way the back is constructed all point to American construction.The cupids look similar to ones on a large high backed hall tree that sold in the south for a huge amount of money recently.Size is 57 inches tall 44 wide and 19 deep.If you are looking for the best in carved oak American furniture this is it!
