Circa 1770 Chinese Export Mandarin Palette Tea Poy of Superb Quality. This bulbulous shape and form with the gilded rock work on the base is of Magnificent Quality. Tea poys of this shape and form are rare to find with such finely detailed painting and artwork with wonderful gold highlighting. This tea caddy has a silver top which was probably added in the early 1800's because the standard tiny covers are so small they either get lost or damaged. Circa 1820-1840 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Very Fine Quality Lobed Kidney Dish. Measuring 10 3/4" X 7 3/4". This is a absolutely wonderful example of the rose mandarin pattern in quite boldly decorated in vibrant colors. Rare and Extremely hard to find form, especially in rose mandarin. You might find this form in poor quality rose medallion from the 1880's but this is a early example in "Rose Mandarin".
