| Circa 1775 Chinese Export Nautical European Subject Bowl. Definetly European Market. We have a Pair of these Bowls that are 100% Identical and the same Identical Dimensions. These bowls Measure 11" in Diameter and are 5" in Height and Depth. Absolutely Spectacular. Very different and unusual. There are four scenes on the outside of these bowls. Two of the scenes are sepia inside of a landscape of a house with trees and what appears to be a field or maybe even a lake. Another scene has a castle with water and a group of flags. Mountains and landscape in the background. A European figure dressed very scantily clothed and a child pulling by rope a cow up a set of steps. Next to the steps is a nicely shaded tree with green leaves. There is another similar scene with castles, boats and water with two male figures sitting at a table that appears they are playing some sort of game. In both of the latter landscape scenes there appears to be a bale of hay. The inside of the bowl has a Famille Rose with flowers and greenery on the center bottom of the bowl. | |||||||||||||||
