C. 1850-1870 JAPANESE IMARI 15" PUNCH BOWL
Circa 1850-1870 Japanese Imari Punch Bowl measuring 15" in Diameter and 7 1/2" in Depth. This is One Huge Bowl, Primarily because of it's depth of over 7". The Quality is the Best I have ever seen in a 19TH. Century Japanese Imari Bowl. Wonderful Gilding inside and out. This Bowl has a lot of simplicity on the inside with a Border of Reserves of Flowers and Brocades. In the bottom of the Bowl is a Large Mum or Peony. Just a Absolute GEORGEOUS Interior no matter how you look at it. The outside of the Bowl is also Absolutely Beautiful with "Bonsai Type" Trees continuously growing on a Apple Green Hillside with lovely Orange, Green and Turquoise Circular Decoration. This is Absolutely the Most Fantastic and Colorful Imari Bowl that I have ever seen. It surely would make any room look like a Million Dollars. This is a Standout. Excellent Condition. No Restoration. This is one of two Japanese Imari Bowls that came out of a Local Estate.
