This bowl is decorated with the 13 Western Hongs,Including the American hong. Located on the Pear River in Canton. During the late 18Th and Early 19TH Centuries, these factories or hongs served western traders as warehouses, offices and residences. This trading system was established in 1757 by the Manchu Dynasty to eliminate contact between the chinese people and "FOREIGN DEVILS" This is a Reproduction made by Mottahedeh for the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware. Antique Chinese Export Hong Bowls from the 18TH. Century bring over $1000,000 at Auctions and Antique Shows. Mildred Mottahedeh was one of the largest collectors of Chinese Export Porcelain. She love it so much that she and her husband Raffi opened a factory in Portugal many years ago to reproduce these fine antique examples. Mottahedeh chinese export porcelain replicas grow in value every year and these hong bowls are very rare. This bowl measures 14 1/4" IN DIAMETER AND 6 1/4" IN HEIGHT AND DEPTH. EXCELLENT CONDITION.
