| Circa 1880-1900 English Blue and White Transfer plate 10" in diameter. On the back of this plate as shown on our last image, this plate is no 51.L--R & M,(company name) Staffordshire, England, made and designed in England for Edward J. Jones in Onset, MASS. These plates were very popular as they would show views of different areas in America. This particular plate is VIEWS of ONSET,MASS. The central theme is of two sailors, "MEET ME ON CAPE COD". The outside rim is of different views of Massachusetts in the Onset Area. Harbor View, Profile Rock, Shellpoint, Business Centre, The Bluffs, Water Street, and South Boulevard. This plate appears to be in good condition, with only a tiny nick on the rim of the back of the plate, and one very minor line also on the back of the plate.
